Abstract

Pendahuluan: Diabetes melitus Tipe 2 (DMT2) adalah penyakit gangguan metabolik yang sampai saat ini masih menjadi masalah tertinggi di dunia dan Indonesia. Manajemen pola makan dianggap sebagai komponen penting dalam manajemen diabetes. Diet ketogenik (DK) dilaporkan memberikan efek yang baik dalam penatalaksanaan terapeutik pasien DMT2 dengan memperbaiki parameter glukosa darah, profil lipid dan antropometri, namun pemahaman yang tepat tentang praktik pemberiannya diperlukan agar efektif dalam meningkatkan parameter DMT2. Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah study literature dengan mereview berbagai jurnal terkait dengan efek diet ketogenic pada penderita Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 (DMT2). Pencarian artikel menggunakan 2 database Google Scholar dan  Pubmed. Terdapat 10 jurnal teks lengkap dan sesuia kelayakan  Hasil: Beberapa hasil penelitian menunjukkan Diet Ketogenic (DK) dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap perbaikan parameter pada pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 (DMT2). Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil review dari 10 artikel dapat disimpulkan bahwa Diet Ketogenik (DK) memiliki perubahan positif pada parameter Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 (DMT2) yaitu pada glukosa darah dan antropometri. Namun pengaruh diet ketogenik terhadap parameter profil lipid tidak selalu memberikan hasil yang baik. Untuk itu diperlukan pengawasan dari tenaga medis/dokter, nutrisionis atau dietesien agar diperoleh pilihan bahan makanan yang baik dan sesuai dengan kondisi masing-masing pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 (DMT2).
