Abstract

Luka bakar menimbulkan risiko tinggi infeksi akibat kerusakan struktur pelindung kulit dan terjadinya disfungsi sistem imun. Terapi konvensional seperti eksisi eschar, perawatan luka dengan pemilihan terapi topikal dan antibiotik sistemik saat ini terbatas efektivitasnya karena resistensi antimikroba. Tujuan kajian literatur ini adalah untuk meninjau potensi probiotik dan terapi bakteriofag sebagai mikroorganisme terapeutik dalam pengendalian infeksi luka bakar. Analisis mencakup studi pra-klinis pada hewan dan uji klinis skala kecil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi topikal probiotik, misalnya Lactobacillus plantarum, Enterococcus mundtii dan bakteriofag dapat menurunkan jumlah bakteri, memperbaiki hasil akhir cangkok kulit, dan mempercepat penyembuhan luka pada model hewan. Probiotik dan bakteriofag menawarkan alternatif sebagai terapi adjuvan yang menjanjikan untuk infeksi luka bakar, terutama melawan patogen multiresisten. Diperlukan uji klinis terstandar berskala besar untuk memvalidasi keamanan, efektivitas, dan prosedur aplikasi sebelum integrasi ke praktik klinik.
